Jim Moore graduated from DCU in 1990 with a BEng in Electronic Engineering. He joined the DCU Alumni Council in 2007 and became the Chair of the Alumni Council in January 2009. Jim is Founder & Director of Sremium, a company offering Interactive communications and payment solutions (sms, voice and online) to broadcast and online companies. Jim has 16 years experience in the IT industry, having previously worked in Vision, Logica Australia, Autodesk Switzerland, Informix, and more recently LogicaCMG where he was the Head of Global Channel Business. Jim also holds an MBA from the Smurfit Business School (1998).

Patrick McDermott is the DCU Educational Trust representative on the DCU Alumni Council. Patrick was named Chief Executive Officer of the Dublin City University Educational Trust by the Board of Trustees and the President in October 2002. In this role, Patrick has overhauled and re-developed the Trust, DCU 's philanthropic foundation and alumni office. During his tenure, the DCU Educational Trust has grown and strengthened its Board of Trustees while establishing strategic priorities and evaluating the role of the foundation on campus. In conjunction with the Trust team, Patrick has led the implementation of an alumni giving programme, a major gift structure, a donor recognition society, a legacy initiative, and a comprehensive endowment strategy. Patrick joined the Trust in September 2001 as Special Adviser to the President. In this capacity, his primary responsibilities were in building international partnerships and strategic alliances with other institutions of higher education, multinational corporations, philanthropic organisations, and institutions interested in innovative practices in higher education.
Prior to joining DCU , Patrick served as White House Liaison and Trip Director for United States Secretary of Education, Mr. Richard W. Riley. As a member of the Secretary's Senior Staff, Patrick worked on a variety of educational issues and policies. He helped recruit and manage hundreds of Clinton Administration appointees at the US Department of Education and oversaw appointments to over thirty federal Boards and Commissions. In addition, Patrick was responsible for Secretary Riley's visits to schools and campuses across America and around the world, promoting excellence in education and building community partnerships for the betterment of public education. Patrick earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Washington and Lee University , where he received the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award from the faculty for his ‘genuine and disinterested service to others.'

Cathy Holahan graduated from DCU in 1985 with a BEng Electronic Engineering and again in 2000 with an MBA. Cathy joined the DCU Alumni Council in 2006. Since graduation, Cathy has been working in the manufacturing sector for 20 years, with Philips Semiconductors (The Netherlands), Oracle, Autodesk (Switzerland), and more recently with Celestica, as business development and partnership manager. In 2005 Cathy joined the state agency Enterprise Ireand and is currently focussed on increasing Irish export trade to China. As a regular traveller to China, Cathy has helped establish the Shanghai Alumni Chapter, and is working on an inaugural Beijing chapter meteing in Oct 2009. In June 2009 Cathy was presented with a ‘Special Leadership Recognition Award;’ by the DCU Leadership Circle in recognition of the contribution to the DCU Alumni group. Cathy held the position of Chair of the Alumni Council from 2007/2009 and continues to act as a representative of the DCU Alumni Council.

David Dowling graduated from DCU in 2005 with a B.Sc in Biotechnology. David joined the DCU Alumni Council in 2008 and has since completed his Ph.D. in the Parasite Immune Modulation group, School of Nursing. His work focuses on understanding the immunomodulatory properties of parasites, with the goal of developing vaccines and deriving novel therapeutics for the treatment autoimmune and allergic diseases. He has previously worked for Wyeth Biotech and is a graduate of the DCU Access Programme. David joined the DCU Alumni Council in 2008 and has also been heavily involved in development of DCU Men’s Soccer Club and the DCU soccer scholarship scheme.
Tracey Donnery graduated from DCU in 2003 with an MBS in Human Resource Strategies. Tracey joined the DCU Alumni Council in 2009. She currently holds the position of Finuas Programme Manager at Skillnets Ltd and previously held the position of HR Manager at Eircom. Tracey has also acted as a mentor to DCU Students through the DCU Mentorship Programme. She also hold a BA in English, History of Art from University College Dublin.

James Corcoran graduated from DCU in 1990 with a Bachelor of Business Studies degree. James joined the DCU Alumni Council in 2009. James works as a Freelance International Financial Consultant specialising in public sector finance. He works mainly as a consultant to EU Commission working with Central and Eastern European Governments as advisor on large scale capital investments, financial control and economic regional development. He previously held the position of National President & CEO of JCI Ireland, the NGO, networking and training organisation of young entrepreneurs and leaders affiliated to Junior Chamber International. James has also acted as a mentor to DCU Students through the DCU Mentorship Programme.

Colin Cunningham graduated from DCU with a degree in Electronic Engineering. He joined the council in 2007. During his time in DCU he held the position of DCU Student Union President from 1994/1995. He has spent his career to date at the forefront of the evolving mobile telecoms industry in Ireland and various other markets. Colin started his career at ESAT Digifone where he was responsible for Network Quality. Colin recently co-founded a new company Cinergy and his main focus is strategy and business development. He previously founded Vilicom and iProperty where as CEO he spearheaded growth,innovation and diversification since 1999.

Mary Corcoran graduated from DCU in 2000 with a BA Degree in Japanese and International Marketing. Mary served part of her internship in Japan and the other part with a Strategic Consultancy firm in Ireland. Mary has worked as a Senior Business Operations Manager with IBM since 2005. In her role in IBM to date, she has worked on a number of Multinational blue chip and Fortune 500 Client Accounts, in the areas of Finance and Accounting, CRM and Project Management. Outside of work, Mary founded the Japan Ireland Social Group in 2006 and organises regular meet-ups throughout the year. Mary has also acted as a Mentor to DCU Students through the DCU Mentorship Programme and joined the DCU Alumni Council in 2010.

Aoife Lavan graduated from DCU in 2002 with a BA in Accounting and Finance, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute. Aoife joined the DCU Alumni Council in 2010. Aoife joined NCB Stockbrokers in June 2006, and is responsible for advising high net worth clients on retirement and tax planning opportunities as part of NCBs Wealth Management offering. Aoife previously worked in Merrion Stockbrokers in a similar role, and prior to this trained with BDO Simpson Xavier in the Audit and Financial Services departments. Aoife joined the Alumni Council in April 2010.
