Young Student Assessment

All students wishing to participate in CTY Ireland courses must first take an assessment in order to establish eligibility.

No preparation or revision is required. No materials are needed other than pencil and eraser.

Details of the assessment are given below.

Applications for assessment must be received at least five workings days before the assessment date requested. Applications received after this closing date will be assigned the next available date. If no more assessments are running in that location we will contact you to arrange an alternative.
With the high numbers of students taking assessment, we will no longer be able to enrol applications that are received after the closing date.

Qualification - To be eligible for CTY Ireland programmes, children must qualify in one of the above assessments.

Fee

The assessment fee is €45.

Qualification through Psychological Evaluation

Students who have been assessed independently by a psychologist may submit their report for consideration. Reports older than four years may not be accepted.

When sending in a Psychological Assessment, please attach a covering letter and include the following:

  • Name of the Student
  • Parent(s)/guardian(s) name(s)
  • Home address
  • Date of birth
  • Sex
  • Class in school
  • School currently attended*
  • Parent Email
  • Home phone number
  • Parents’ mobile numbers

The report evaluation fee is €45.
