Career Review Programme

A career in a university can be both exciting and rewarding, however, over time we can think it is less so........
this programme will offer an opportunity to review your career to date.

Dates and course duration:
The programme runs over the following dates and participants will need to attend each of the sessions which is the
equivalent of three days over the academic year.

Aims of this course:
The programme is about helping you to analyse your present situation with a view to:
 • identifying your strengths
 • how to make those strengths work better for you and
 • fit them to your role(s) and so increase your job satisfaction, rediscover your reason/enthusiasm for having a
   career in an academic environment with a view to making changes in your career in a supported and ongoing way.

At the end of this course, you will be able to: 

 • determine what you need to do for your own personal and/or professional development
 • make active decisions about your future
 • make changes and review your ongoing learning and career development over a year
 • think about your future world of work
 • be supported and support other's career development.

Target Audience:

•  Staff (Academic, Administrative and Support) with a significant amount of service and experience (e.g. 3 years plus)
