Orientation for new staff

Course Duration: 1 Day

Target Audience:
This course will benefit both new staff (including temporary and part-time) and those who have been in the University for a period of time.

Aims of this course:
•  to give participants a sense of Dublin City University, It's origins and culture
•  to provide an overview of DCU's organisational structures
•  to outline terms, conditions and benefits
•  to give an overview of a number of important policies and procedures
•  to give participants an overview of a number of service departments e.g. Equality, Health & Safety and
   Information Systems and Services (ISS) and a tour of some parts of the campus
•  to give information on manual handling
•  to provide staff with an opportunity to meet fellow staff members

There will also be an opportunity for new staff to meet the President of the University, Professor Brian MacCraith
