Orientation for Researchers

The Office of Vice President for Research and the Training & Development section of Human Resources are running this course for Researchers as part of the Researcher Development Programme.

Target Audience:
This workshop will benefit both new Research staff and those who have worked in DCU for a period of time.
 
Aims of this course:
This half day course aims to provide information about the origins and structure of DCU, the research environment at DCU and the internal resources and support available to those involved in research.

An outline of the Programme

• Welcome to DCU and overview of DCU, its structures, where to find information about DCU & HR Policies and
  Procedures
• Research at DCU and introduction to Research and Innovation Support
• Overview of a number of service departments e.g. Equality, Health & Safety and Information Systems and Services (ISS)
• Introduction to the Library
• Introduction to Invent.
