Tim has completed a BA and a MA in philosophy at the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands). During the philosophy course he developed a particular interest in the area of science and philosophy. He wrote his thesis about the philosophical implications of a market in kidneys. In his thesis he included different branches of applied philosophy like philosophy of science, bioethics and political philosophy. Professionally, Tim has worked as a Medical Ethics assistant researcher at the University of Amsterdam.
Augustine is presently Director of the Institute of Science and Religion at Little Flower Seminary, Aluva (India). He obtained his M.Sc. from Madras University and a European Master in Bioethics from the Universities of Leuven, Nijmegen and Padova. He holds a PhD in Philosophy of Science from Open International University in Colombo (Sri Lanka). He lectures in Philosophy of Science and Bioethics at various institutions in India. He has published six books and several articles in peer-reviewed journals. His works include East-West Interface of Reality (Indian Institute of Science and Religion, Pune, 2003), Theological Mysteries in Scientific Perspective (Asian Trading Corporation, Bangalore, 2004), Cosmos Bios and Theos, 2006, Evolution and Religious Belief (Serial Publishers, New Delhi, 2011). He is the managing editor and Publisher of "Omega – Indian Journal of Science and Religion".
Elizabeth obtained a BA in Political Science from The College of Wooster (USA), prior to completing an MA in International Security and Conflict Studies and an LLM at Dublin City University. Both her MA and LLM dissertations were on the subject of human trafficking laws and policies in Europe. Professionally, Elizabeth has worked as a legal researcher and journalist, as well as on various aspects of political campaigns in both the United States and Ireland.

Peter Novitzky: Ethics of Ambient Assisted Living Peter successfully completed the Erasmus Mundus Master of Bioethics course with the consortium of Katholieke Universiteit Leuven - Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen - Università studi degli Padova, following previous studies in theology, in Budapest (Pazmany Peter Catholic University) and Prague (Charles University). He specialises in ethics and his latest thesis dealt with the ethical evaluation of scarce medical resources rationing theories for different age cohorts. |
