Academic Requirements

DCU does not impose a minimum cut off on GPA requirements.

When assessing applications, DCU will take a holistic approach to applications received through the CSF system (www.csfirlanda.ie) and will exercise discretion around the GPA requirement, particularly as DCU is aware of the range of assessment methods employed across Brazilian universities.

If a student's GPA is lower than 7.00, other criteria will be considered when assessing their application, such as the student's home university and how they perform in relation to their peers..

Student Testimonials

My name is Victoria, I am from Brazil and I am a graduate student of Biotechnology. I had the opportunity to study at DCU for 1 academic year in 2013 and it turned out to be one of the best experiences I could ever have.  DCU is an extraordinary university with the best infra-structure a student could ask for.

The campus feels like it is an entire town, you have everything you need around you: pharmacy, gym, supermarket, restaurant and an excellent big and high technology library.

DCU provides a great environment for learning and also socializing. There are several clubs and societies run by the students in the university.  Joining these clubs and societies allowed me to interact with more students, get involved in different activities, and develop some soft skills.

The international office team at DCU is extremely efficient and helpful. Events were organized by them, so the international students would get together and also informative workshops on our year abroad were held in our first week of classes. Their support was essential throughout the year and I could always count on them.

While in DCU, I was lectured by incredible professors, who were really passionate about teaching and had enormous knowledge of their subjects. The topics addressed in classes were always very relevant and current, making everything more interesting.

I can say that studying at DCU had a great influence on my career's choices and helped me set a professional pathway. I had a wonderful experience at DCU, and I am very grateful for that.
