Welcome to DCU!
Welcome to Dublin City University! We are delighted that you have finally reached your study destination - DCU. We hope that your time here will be a unique and enriching experience for you and that you will soon settle into this new educational environment. Our role is to endeavour to do whatever is necessary to assist you in this transition from your home country and we look forward to this over the coming period.
Please download and read our International Student Handbook which contains information on all aspects of your stay in Ireland – it provides information which will help you understand this new environment and explain important aspects of the academic, professional, social and personal norms in Ireland. We hope that you will take some time to read through it during the first few days here – and then consult it when you are looking for information on specific items.
The International Office works in conjunction with other units in the University, particularly Student Support & Development, to ensure that every aspect of your time at DCU is a success. Over many years, the staff in this office has built up a wealth of expertise in working with international students and is well-placed to answer any of your queries and provide whatever support you may need. We look forward to seeing you throughout your stay at DCU, whether it is for guidance on academic issues, information on participating in University life or assistance with any personal matter which you may wish to discuss.
Our International Students Advisors have an advice desk in the John Hand Library building on the All Hallows Campus, feel free to drop in at any point during your time in DCU.
Wishing you every success over the coming months!
