Applications from Outside the EU - Pakistan

Dublin City University is a new and modern public university founded in 1980. There are currently about 10,000 high-calibre students from all over the world engaged in a wide range of foundation, undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes. DCU was established to meet the needs of Ireland's rapidly-growing and technologically-demanding industrial sector. Our teaching and research programmes reflect the current and anticipated needs of Ireland's industrial and commercial sectors while at the same time meeting the most rigorous international academic standards.

Undergraduate Programmes

Entry Requirements:

The following qualifications suffice for application to Undergraduate degree programmes at DCU:

  • Higher Secondary Certificate [HSC]/ Intermediate [Pre-Engineering or Pre-Medical Stream] if marks of over 50% have been obtained on a subject by subject basis.
  • Bachelor of Arts/Commerce/Science degree

Application Procedures:

Students should apply directly to DCU using the undergraduate direct application form.

Applicants are required to apply directly to the University by 1st July. Please note that applications are accepted from October of the previous year of study and candidates will be notified of the status of their application within 4 weeks of application. Applicants are advised to apply early to avoid disappointment.

Please note that students awaiting results of the High School examinations may apply and may be made a 'conditional offer'.

Postgraduate Programmes (Master's / PhD)

Entry Requirements:

The following qualifications suffice for application to Postgraduate degree programmes at DCU:

  • Bachelor of Technology [Honours] degree, Bachelor of Engineering/Science in Engineering, Bachelor Degree [4-year] in generally Professional Fields (excluding Bachelor of Education) - students with high grades from reputed institutions will be considered for postgraduate admission.
  • Master's Degree

Taught Masters' Programmes:

Non-EU applications to full-time and part-time postgraduate taught programmes must apply online through the Postgraduate Application Centre (PAC) by 1st July . Please note that applications are accepted from October of the previous year of study and candidates will be notified of the status of their application within 4 weeks of application. All Non-EU candidates are advised to apply as early as possible, particularly where they are nationals of a Non-EU state where a study visa is required. Places are limited, particularly in the more popular programmes, so early application will avoid disappointment for candidates"

Master's by Research: Students should apply directly to DCU using the postgraduate research application form (PDF document).

Applications are accepted on an on-going basis.

PhD by Research: Candidates should apply directly to DCU by filling out the postgraduate research application form (PDF document).
