M2C Wireless Machine who are based in Invent have been selected as a finalist in the Small Firms Association National Small Business Awards. This small company has been chosen as one of six finalists in the Innovator of The Year category from close to 400 overall entries.
M2C was founded in 2009 by a group of experienced engineers with a view to capitalising on the hard skills base created over many years in Industry not only in Ireland but the US, Middle- East and Asia. Over the last ten years they have garnered experience in designing, developing and implementing solutions in the areas of embedded engineering and wireless systems. They have delivered consistently to various organisations Telemetric and Remote monitoring solutions.
In 2010 the ESB engaged with the company to create a solution for Electric Vehicle Charge Stations for Ireland. They are leading players in the industry and for many years have led the way in developing EV infrastructure. The problems encountered by the ESB in seeking a comprehensive solution was that the standards had not been finalised, the main market solution providers had basic answers and there was a dearth of skill in this area.
M2C have designed a suite of products around the EV needs of the ESB and are rolling them out now. Using their experience they have passed all certifications from Renault and Nissan and the statutory testing regimes for such equipment in the EU. Clients include ESB,Intel, NIE, DCU, 4Most Electronics(UK) and Renault.
