Invent has partnered with Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) in delivering its Novation Enterprise Platform Programme (NEPP) -a programme of support for graduate entrepreneurs with an innovative business idea which is being offered free for up to 15 participants. Eligible participants will receive a small subsistence grant of €1,150 and may also apply for additional funding through Enterprise Ireland’s CORD grant.
Speaking at the launch of the programme recently Richard Stokes said “I am delighted that Invent are involved in this programme as it allows us to offer support to all graduates who want to operate a business in the Knowledge Based and Technology Sectors. With our experience and network of contacts we will have a lot to offer entrepreneurs in terms of access to intellectual property and to our research and development facilities in life sciences, engineering and computer science. This programme will give participants 9 months of comprehensive business training and mentoring whilst developing their business and will be delivered between both DCU and DkIT campuses. Participants can choose to locate at either Invent or the RDC incubation centre in Dundalk during the programme”
The NEEP has been successfully run by DkIT for the last ten years and participant businesses have achieved a cumulative sales turnover in excess of €228 million. Past participants include Sean Gallagher, Smarthomes, Colm Piercy, Digiweb, Deirdre McCormack, McCor Technologies and Peter Smyth, Redmere Technology.
