One of Ireland’s most successful support programmes for budding entrepreneurs has taken place in Invent DCU over the past 6 weeks beginning on the 24th April 2009.

The Business-Start-Programme (BSP) is a six week part-time programme which offered DCU researchers and other technology entrepreneurs the chance to investigate the potential of their business idea. The programme took participants through the planning elements necessary for start-up technology businesses. It is aimed at people with a desire to develop a technology or knowledge intensive business with export potential. The programme is designed to fit around the working day and so sessions were held on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings in Invent.

There was a huge variety of novel business ideas ranging from ICT technologies to green technologies to the life sciences areas. Invent DCU looks forward to continuing to work with all these budding entrepreneurs and to help bring their business ideas to market.
