Invent hosts Seedcorn Business Competition Workshop – 11th August 2009
Invent DCU hosted a workshop on InterTradeIreland’s Seedcorn Business Competition to encourage new entrepreneurs to participate in the competition. The workshop took place on the 11th August 2009 and was delivered by Grainne Lennon from InterTradeIreland. Grainne spoke about the benefits of entering the competition and how to prepare a business plan to attract potential investors.
InterTradeIreland has raised its Seedcorn Business Competition prize fund to a record €360,000 in a bid to help fledgling companies across the island as they continue to feel the effects of the recession. This all-island competition, which sees finalists scoop prizes of between €25,000 and €100,000 each, has already attracted record entries this year as young companies take advantage of the opportunity to compete for the cash and improve their business acumen as they battle their way through the recession.
Some of Invent’s client companies are due to enter the competition and we wish them every success!
