Tech Venture Creation Programme at Invent DCU

Do you have an idea for a technology business?

Invent DCU is offering an exciting new training programme specifically designed for DCU researchers who may be interested in starting up a technology business. The programme differs radically from other programmes in the past.


How?

The programme will be delivered by a group of experienced business people with a huge amount of relevant industrial experience.
The programme will explore the critical issues at the very early stage of having an idea for a new technology venture and will be very practical in nature.
Interested participants will be offered 6 months of mentoring at the end of the programme.
This 6-week programme (12 modules) will comprise of weekly sessions held Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings in Invent DCU. This unique programme has been heavily subsidised and the resulting cost per participant is €300.

Invent’s Business-Start-Programme

One of Ireland’s most successful training programmes for budding entrepreneurs / staff / students will launch on Friday 24th April 2009 at the Invent Centre, DCU.

The Business-Start-Programme (BSP) is a six week intensive Start Your Own Business Course aimed at technology start-ups. This programme offers people with a business idea the chance to investigate its potential. It takes participants through the planning elements necessary for start-up business and is aimed at people with a desire to develop a technology or knowledge intensive business with export potential.
Many students who participated in past programmes have gone on to open their own successful enterprises. This tried and tested 6-week course is designed to fit around the working day and so sessions are held on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings in Invent. The course is heavily subsidised resulting in a cost per participant of only €300.

M50 Enterprise Platform Programme 2009 – 2010

If you answered yes to the above questions then the M50 Enterprise Platform Programme at LINC IT Blanchardstown may be exactly what you are looking for. Established in 2001 the M50 Enterprise Platform Programme has mentored more than 150 entrepreneurs through the programme, many of whom are now in established and successful businesses. Through a wide range of practical supports, coaching, training and mentoring this practically focused 12 month programme equips entrepreneurs with all of the necessary skills and techniques to establish their businesses.
