ISS use McAfee Enterprise edition on all staff computers and it is available to students also free of charge.

It is located on network drive below to install;

Run SetupVSE;

I:\McAfee VirusScan\VirusScan 8.8

McAfee VirusScan is set to automatically update everyday at 5pm.

To check that the latest update is installed, right click over the AntiVirus shield located beside the clock in the bottom right corner of the screen. Then click on About VirusScan Enterprise.

A window will appear with the details of the Antivirus installed on your computer. The date of the last update will be shown after  “DAT Created On:”.

If you need to update McAfee manually, right click over the AntiVirus shield and click on Update Now.

McAfee will then attempt to download and install any updates. Note, an internet connection is required to update McAfee.

To perform a scan of your computer for viruses, right click over the AntiVirus shield and click On-Demand Scan.

The On-Demand Scan window will open, select All Local Drives under Item Name and click the Start button on the right. This will start a scan of your computer for viruses. Follow any instruction messages that appear during or after scanning.
