Dublin City University Memorial Garden

Gairdín Cuimhneacháin Ollscoil Chathair Bhaile Átha Cliath

The Memorial Garden in Dublin City University was established in 2007/8, and is dedicated to the memory of all deceased members of the university community. The Garden provides a space in which all those who wish to remember deceased members of the university community may have an opportunity to do so.

The Memorial Garden was formally opened by the President of the university, Professor Ferdinand von Prondzynski, on Tuesday 2nd December 2008. Management of the garden is overseen by a committee, membership of which is drawn from a range of departments within the university.

The memorial garden is dedicated to the memory of all deceased members of the university community. We therefore cannot permit the planting of any items in remembrance of a specific individual. Visitors are kindly requested not to place flowers or mementoes in the garden.

The names of deceased members of the university community are recorded in a book of remembrance which is held in the Interfaith Centre on campus.  To see this book, please contact Reception at the Interfaith Centre: interfaithcentre@dcu.ie
