Prepare for a Meeting
A Guide To Making The Most Of Your Meeting
Careers Advisors work with students who have specific career goals and also with those who don’t. However, the more prepared you are for your 30 minute appointment, the more you will benefit.
- State in advance what you hope to get from the session. For example if you want CV advice or Interview tips, it would be useful to attend one of our lunchtime workshops in advance.
- For CV checks bring a good draft with you. See standard graduate CV template
- If you are happy with your programme of study but wondering which career path to follow, taking 20 minutes to take the Gradireland Career Report in advance may be a useful starting point
- If you are unhappy with your programme of study and wish to change you might find these self assessments useful and /or the interest inventory at careersportal.ie a useful resource.
