Postgraduate Research Application

There are no closing dates for the majority of research applicants (although this may be subject to change). Deadlines can apply for professional doctorate programmes. See the relevant sections in Schools / Research Centres List for more information.

All applicants should apply online via PAC at www.pac.ie . See course list on PAC at www.pac.ie for links to the course homepage and further details.

PGR2
Annual Progress Report

27 July
All continuing (including final year, card fee registrations and recent transfers) must submit a PGR2 by the end of July each year.

PGR3
Application for Confirmation on the PhD Register / Transfer to the PhD Register

Not later than the second year of research for full-time PhD-track or Masters students (and at an appropriate corresponding time for part-time students). 

The completed form should be submitted to Registry at least 2 weeks in advance of the scheduled meeting of the Graduate Studies Board (GSB) – see schedule of meetings at http://www.dcu.ie/timetables/

PGR4
Notification of Intention to Submit Thesis for Examination

Candidates are required to give at least 3 months notice of their intention to submit for examination. See dates below.

The completed form and a typed 200-word abstract that includes the candidate’s name and student number should be submitted to Registry at least 2 weeks in advance of the scheduled meeting of the Graduate Studies Board (GSB) – see Schedule of Meetings at http://www.dcu.ie/timetables/

PGR6
Examination Report for the Award of a Higher Degree (Note: From Examiners only)

The completed form should be submitted to Registry at least 2 weeks in advance of the Faculty Awards Board Meeting. See dates below.

PGR7
Thesis Access Consent form

This form should normally be submitted to Registry at the time of submission of thesis for examination i.e. by July for Autumn conferring and November for Spring conferring (see Academic Calendar at http://www.dcu.ie/timetables/) and again at the time of submission of the final bound thesis. See dates below.

PGR8
Application for Restriction of Access to Thesis

Where applicable, the completed form should normally be submitted to Registry at least 2 weeks in advance of the Faculty Awards Board Meeting. See dates below.

E-Thesis Submission Declaration

The completed form should normally be submitted to Registry at least 2 weeks in advance of the Faculty Awards Board Meeting.   See dates below.

Postgraduate research students who wish to be considered by the Autumn 2012 Faculty Awards Boards for Research Degrees on 03 - 05 October 2012 must ensure that the documentation listed below is submitted to Student Awards, Registry (Henry Grattan Building) at the latest by the dates shown below:
