We are always very happy for students and staff to get involved in our various programmes and there are several ways that you can do this:
Educational Trust: Funding for Access scholarships is raised by the Educational Trust at Dublin City University through private donors. Access students can get involved by attending donor events, meeting with current and prospective donors and speaking at donor events. Click here to watch a video on the valuable work of the Access Service.
Third Level Tuition: We also arrange tuition for some of our third-level students who may be struggling with a subject. For postgraduate students interested in providing tuition, the hourly rate is €27. For further details, please contact Colette Keogh (Room LG18) at colette.keogh@dcu.ie or on 01 700 8868.
Shadowing: This initiative takes place each March when each of our 17 link schools send 15 interested fifth-year students to follow a DCU first or second year student on a course of their choice. It is of enormous benefit to the second level student to get a feel for the different subjects. For the DCU students, a free lunch is provided and they are merely required to act as they would on any normal day. If interested, please contact Colette Keogh (Room LG18) at colette.keogh@dcu.ie or on 01 700 8868.
