Hi and Welcome to the DCU Student Advice Centre on the Web. DCU Student Advice Centre on the Web is an extension to the personal support that is already delivered by the staff of Student Support & Development. For the 2011/2012 academic year, we are delighted to introduce to you, our 'Resource Library' which allows students to browse a variety of support booklets with ease without the need to download large files. The Student Advice Centre is also contactable via SKYPE during normal working hours. If you are unable to reach campus what better way to have one-to-one conversation with a Student Adviser?
DCU A-Z Student Guide 2011/2012
Settling into University Guide
The Student Advice Centre was first opened in January 2008 and is located on the ground floor of the Henry Grattan Building. The centre was developed by Dr. Claire Bohan, Director of Student Support & Development in consultation with students and staff of DCU. It was felt that there was a need for a centralised office whereby students of DCU could receive advice and guidance on all matters academic, personal and financial. With over 10,000 students attending DCU each academic year, there is wide variety of queries attended to by Student Advisers.
The Centre's aim is to become the hub for all information on student support in DCU. We offer advice and guidance on all areas from information on joining clubs and societies, exam preparation to financial assistance. As we gather expertise and knowledge, we aim to provide an answer to every query that a student may have.
We hope you will avail of our services in the Student Advice Centre and also within Student Support & Development. All students and staff are welcome to drop-in, phone or email and our friendly staff will be on call to help.
