Better Options is a unique one day event focussing on students with a disability, specific learning difficulty or medical condition considering Higher Education options in Ireland.

It is run in association with AHEAD and DAWN (Disability Advisors Working Network) and runs in Dublin, UCC and UL in December each year. Students who have registered with the Service and have been allocated a spelling and grammar waiver can now access the waiver through their portal page. The waiver is located in the utilities section of their portal page underneath where they print off their project submission form. posted 7/3/2012

Your accommodations can be found on your portal page. Go to the Biographical tab and view the Personal Details section, (scroll down). You are obliged to review your accommodations to ensure they are correct and contact the Disability and Learning Support Service in good time if they are not. posted 21/1/2012
For first time registrants with the Service, your accommodations will have been agreed at your initial registration meeting with the Disability Officer. For returning students, your accommodations have been rolled over from your previous sitting. The only exception would be if you have since spoken to the Disability Officer and agreed any changes.
