The Third Level Access activity is funded by Ireland’s European Structural and Investments Funds Programme 2014-2020.  Co-funded by the Irish Government and the European Union

The Student Assistance Fund is operated by Student Support & Development and funding is received from the Irish Government with assistance from the European Social Fund. It is aimed at tackling educational disadvantage by providing financial support to those who may require additional financial support to enable them to fully benefit from their third-level education.

The fund is open full-time to students with special consideration to undergraduate students with financial difficulties. Students will be required to produce financial information to support their application for assistance. The Student Assistance fund cannot be used for exam or University fee purposes.

Applications for the Student Assistance Fund are now closed  - 2017/2018 Information will be posted in early October 2017.

Incomplete applications or applications missing supporting documents will result in longer assessment delays.
