 The information provided on these pages is aimed at helping staff to support students through their studies at the University. It will be of particular interest to Personal Tutors, Year Heads and Chairpersons, who deal with a broad range of questions from students during the year. Working with First Year Students?

Members of staff working closely with First Year students will find these resources particularly helpful. The 'week-by-week Online Orientation' (see below) is mailed to the First Year students each week of the academic year and provides information about workshops (academic skills etc.) which take place each week:

Self Help Booklets for Students:

SS&D has developed a range of self-help booklets, which can be picked up in hard copy in the Student Advice Centre (Henry Grattan Building) or downloaded in PDF format below. These booklets are 'themed' and deal with the main issues which arise for students at University.

Graduate Attributes:

The Graduate Attribute initiative was launched in September  2011 and is being rolled out across the University through the academic programmes and through the offering of out-of-class developmental opportunities.

An overview of Workshops / on-line  resources / personal & professional development opportunities etc., which will assist students develop these Attributes will be available here shortly.
