Sports Clubs

Sports Clubs are the nucleus of student sport at DCU and provide ample opportunities for students to get involved in sport.  Our sports clubs cater for the competitive sportsperson with aspirations to represent DCU in intervarsity, national and international competitions, as well as beginners and recreational participants.  DCU sports clubs are student-run and student-led so you can play your sport and also lead and develop your club.  DCU Sports Club train and compete in the DCU Sports Complex and DCU Sports Grounds and receive financial support from capitation.  Capitation is the portion of the student levy that funds clubs, societies and the Students’ Union.  The highlight of the sporting social calendar is the DCU Sport Awards held in April each year.  Join a DCU Sports Club and ensure your time at DCU is a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding experience!
