Non-formal Professional Development (PD) Options
If you cannot currently avail of accredited options, you might like to know that in addition to workshops, there are also shorter non-formal learning opportunities available for teaching staff at DCU.
The Sipping Point has been set up as a somewhat informal, campus-wide community to enable staff across all disciplines to learn from colleagues about aspects of teaching practice. For one hour once a month, a group of like-minded practitioners meet up to discuss and share ideas around topical challenges in teaching, assessment, and student engagement. There is also a private online community for members to continue the conversation in between sessions. Upcoming sessions are regularly advertised via email and new members are welcome at any time!

Further details on the format and previous discussion topics are included in this Sipping Point blog post.
