Many who feel materially fortunate take pride and pleasure in making the world a better place through philanthropy. One wise and popular strategy includes Planned Giving – making a charitable gift in a way that fulfils your estate planning objectives after heirs have been provided for.
The Educational Trust graciously accepts planned gifts in the form of:
- Bequests from Wills – testamentary instructions included in wills
- Securities and share - listed securities traded on approved stock exchanges, bonds
- Gifts-in-kind – collectible books, artwork or furniture
All contributions, whether modest or substantial, are most welcome. We particularly hope benefactors will consider helping DCU build permanent sources of funding for Access Scholarships, Sports Scholarships and Port-Graduate Research Fellowships by creating Named Endowment Funds for these purposes or by adding to those already established.
Should you choose to make it known to us that you have made provision for Dublin City University in your estate, we will be delighted to welcome you to the University's Leadership Circle to show our appreciation.
We recognise that Planned Giving involves deeply personal decisions. The Dublin City University Educational Trust is available to discuss with you and your legal or financial advisor, in strictest confidence, your vision and how the University might recognise and honour your generosity.
