Biographical Details

Greg Foley has BE and PhD degrees from UCD and an MS degree from Cornell University. He is an Associate Professor / Senior Lecturer in the School of Biotechnology and from 2014 to 2017 he was the  Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning in the Faculty of Science and Health. He is a chemical engineer by training and his main area of technical expertise is membrane science and engineering. He is the author of Membrane Filtration - A Problem solving approach with MATLAB (Cambridge University Press, 2013) and numerous papers in international journals. At the moment, Greg's main areas of interest reside in the broad field of education, specifically the development of novel approaches to teaching mathematical aspects of chemical engineering. He is also interested in pedagogy and education policy and writes on these topics at educationandstuff.wordpress.com. His Twitter handle is @GregmFoley
