Welcome Day for new students on Open Education programmes

We are delighted that you have chosen to study a DCU Connected programme, run by the Open Education Team, and hope that you will benefit from our flexible model of online distance learning.
We would like to invite you to come to DCU on Saturday, 23rd September 2017 for a Welcome and Information morning which will be held in the School of Nursing building on DCU’s Glasnevin campus. The School of Nursing is the first building on the left as you enter DCU’s Glasnevin campus from the main entrance on Collins Avenue.
During this Welcome and Information morning you will have the opportunity to meet fellow students, online distance learning tutors and other staff members, find out more about our model of online distance learning, and learn more about your chosen programme.
An outline of this event is given below. In addition, from 9.30am - 11.00am, there will be a Help Desk facility, allowing you to raise any queries you might have concerning your studies.

10.00 – 10:45 Welcome & introduction – overview of DCU Connected and online distance learning
11:00 – 11.45 Getting to know your Programme
11.45 - 12.00 Tea and Coffee break in foyer of the ground floor of the Nursing Building
12.00 - 13.00 Getting to know your Programme
If you would like to attend, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday 20th September to confirm attendance, stating your name, Student ID number and the course you are enrolled on.
We strongly recommend all new students to attend and we hope to see you at the Welcome Day.
